Neo by Vey Labs is a voice-controlled computer interface for macOS — on-device, sub-100ms, MCP-native. We built it because the founder needed it.
Vishesh Duggar spent years shipping production software, then his hands started failing him — the kind of slow-onset RSI that ends careers. He tried every voice tool on the market. Each one solved a slice of the problem. None of them let him actually ship code on a Mac at the speed his job required.
So he built Neo. The first version was for himself. The current version is what we ship to everyone — on-device because privacy and latency aren't optional, MCP-native because voice without programmable tooling is just dictation, and free at the base tier because accessibility tools shouldn't gate on a credit card.
"I ship Neo to ship code. Every release goes through my own RSI hands first. If a command is slow, awkward, or unreliable, it doesn't make it past my own day-to-day. That feedback loop is the whole reason this product exists."
— Vishesh Duggar, founder, Vey Labs
Vey Labs is a small, bootstrapped company building for a specific user: developers and knowledge workers who use a Mac eight hours a day and want voice to replace their keyboard. We're not VC-funded. We don't plan to be. Sustainable, slow, opinionated software is the goal.
Vishesh has spent 17 years building software companies — one previous startup taken through Series A — and brings deep technical experience in AI/ML and accessibility to Neo. Building from rural India keeps the burn low and the team focused.
